amorgos retreat, the details
flights, passports + the nitty gritty
flight parameters
You will be flying into Athens International Airport.
Most major airlines offer direct flights to Athens and then it’s just a short drive to Amorgos. Alternatively, you can also take a ferry. We recommend allowing 2 hours minimum between your connecting flights.
Feeling adventurous, and have some extra PTO? Look into "stop over" packages which would allow you to continue on to any of the Greek Islands via ferry
Retreat start date: Monday, October 12th at 3P
You’ll want to arrive as close to 1P in Athens as possible. Another option is to take a red eye (leave the day prior) that will get you into Greece in the morning and you are able to check into Aegialis at 3P. There’s a scenic bus, taxi and ferries available, you can explore Athens or feel free to visit any of the other towns on your way. The first event of the retreat is class at roughly 5PM which will be followed by dinner.
Retreat return date: Monday, October 19th at 11A
Check out at the resort + spa is 11A. The last programmed events are in the morning are a light breakfast. We will help organize shuttles to the airport once we have everyone’s flight details. Ideally, if you are traveling straight home, you’ll want to book a flight leaving around 3P.
Once you have secured your flights, please forward your flight confirmation email itinerary to tiffany@thedailysweatkennebunk.com.
passport & entry requirements
You must have a valid passport to travel to the Italy. Please check your passport expiration date and make sure it is valid for at least 6 months after the end date of your retreat.
Currently, there are no COVID testing or vaccination requirements to enter the EU.
We will keep you posted if this changes prior to your retreat. However, registrants are personally responsible for complying to local laws, at their own expense. Such expenses may include, but are not limited to:
Proving adequate vaccination status
Providing a negative PCR test(s)
Showing proof of travel insurance
required travel insurance
The purchase of travel insurance is required for this trip.
Most policies protect you against potential trip delays or cancellations due to airline issues, family emergencies, illness, injury, etc. The travel insurance will also demonstrate to the host country that you are able to pay for any emergency services which may be necessary during your stay.
The Daily Sweat is not authorized to sell travel insurance. You are free to select your own policy provider. If you would like to review options in a convenient online marketplace, we like what fora travel has put together. We have heard very good things from AAA and AMEX Members who have purchased their travel insurance through those respective agencies.
We strongly encourage you to speak with a travel insurance agent to discuss your specific coverage needs, and to clear up any questions you may have relative to travel insurance coverage, including questions about COVID-19.
Please make sure you purchase a plan that includes coverage for COVID-19 related trip cancellations and trip interruptions as not all do.
